I just upgraded to Firefox 3.5, which came out yesterday, and I'm really looking forward to all the improvements including the fact that it's much faster! Mashable has a great run-down of some of the great features that didn't exist in 3.0. Here are three that will get you psyched to press that download button right now:
Tab Tearing & More: Firefox 3.5 lets you pull a tab out of an open window and put it into its own dedicated window. You can also open recently used windows and tabs with just a click. Excellent news for those of us who are a little too quick to x out of the millions of windows we have open.
Geo-targeted Browsing: The new version also allows you to grant Firefox access to your IP address which is then relayed to local websites. There's lot's of potential for businesses here. And for people who are just a little freaked out by all that targeted information, you can turn it off.
Private Browsing Mode: The upgrade also offers improved tools for controlling private data. While most of us have no problem keeping our browsing history's visible, I can certainly think of some times on my personal laptop when it would be a great option.
Have you upgraded? Tell us what you like (or don't) about Firefox 3.5 or any other browser you use!
